Do you have any fun plans for this weekend?? I don't have much planned this weekend other than spending some quality time with the family and hopefully *fingers crossed >.<* painting my room.
This week has been a very relaxing week for me with no school to worry about! Although I love being so relaxed, I am getting a bit antsy and I think I want to find either a part time job or pick up a hobby, haha! 3 months of relaxation is just too much! Any ideas??
I must say I have kept busy playing in the kitchen and working out... but I need something else! For now baking and playing will have to do ;)
I have seen some peepz in the blogosphere baking with whey protein and I had been meaning to give it a try. So this week I decided it was time. I got the recipe from the BuyBulkWhey website, however, I did not add the 1 cup of sugar (thought it would make it too sweet) or the 1 cup of (mashed bananas). Also the applesauce I used was sweetened.
The main ingredients:
Altered Recipe: 12 servings
- 1 1/3 cup of whole wheat flour
- 1 1/4 t of baking powder
- 1/2 t of baking soda
- 1 t of ground cinnamon
- 1/3 Cup of All Whites
- 1/4 Cup of water
- 1/4 Cup of Applesauce (sweetened)
- 3 scoops of Whey protein Vanilla
- Vanilla Extract
Once it was all mixed together I poured in a 9x5 baking pan, added some banana slices at the top.
Set the oven for 350 and baked it for about 35 minutes.
The bread turned out pretty good, however, it wasn't very moist so next time I would either add the mashed cup of ripe bananas or a bit more applesauce.
So fluffy! And it is less than 100 calories per serving!!
Makes a healthy snack, yummy for bfast, or on the side of lunch loaded up with some PB!
I have honestly been snacking on this bread for this whole week!!! Can't wait to make some more!!
I have also been making rocking juices with my JUICER!!!
My favorite thus far is...
- handful of spinach
- 1 large green apple
- 1 stalk of celery (not pictured)
- Squeezed Lime
Any favorite juicer recipes??
