My legs were soar this morning so I decided to skip the gym and do some yoga instead. I did the AM yoga session from this DVD I got at BJ's over the weekend:
After, I made some b-fast:
- VitaTop
- Greek Yogurt
- Red Berry Crunch Cereal
I love pashminas they are so versatile - they can be used as a shawl, scarf, wrap, or even blanket!
After my awesome lunch date, I was in a baking mood I wanted to make some whole wheat bread. I encountered a problem though, I didn't have any yeast :( I decided to look for a recipe that didn't call for yeast, and I made this one. I added some flax seeds to add some texture. The taste of the bread was really goooOd, but it didn't really rise :( Maybe it was because I used Old Fashion Oats instead of Rolled Oats.
Tonight for dinner I had the leftover salad from this afternoon.
Spicy Chicken Salad:
Crisp Romaine greens, cucumbers, carrots, green onion, grilled chicken, crispy chow mein noodles, bean sprouts, roasted peanuts and our Spicy Peanut Vinaigrette dressing.
You can see how thin the bread is! But I love it ;)
Have you ever cooked/baked something that didn't end up how you expected?
i'm wearing a blue pashmina right now, got it for hella cheap from a street vendor in NC lol. awesome bread!
ReplyDeletea girly! That is so cool, I'm pretty sure I've seen a pashmina, but didn't know what is was called. I love how it's so versitile. I always find it so cool when people bake bread, maybe because I find it intimidating. Nice meeting you :)
ReplyDeleteI love pashmina's too! And funny that you should ask about baking-yesterday I attempted to make pumpkin muffins but I forgot to put in the baking powder...lets just say they looked a little different than I had anticipated. They tasted just as good tho! :)
ReplyDeleteAw- so cool that you get along so well with Rusty's mom! And what great gifties. Sorry about the bread- I've certainly made MORE than my share of things that didn't turn out as I expected. Here are a couple quick bread recipes:

Loving that salad, spicy peanut dressing sounds amazing!!!

Ohh I think the bread looks delicious! The last pic of it on the salad plate shows that it's moist and doughy- I love that!
ReplyDeleteI have had experiences like that. Mainly because I didn't wait for the dough to rise enough before baking.
I love the pashminas- orange looks so beautiful on you! You are so pretty, girl!!

Sometimes I make things and they don't turn out the way I want, but it's all about the experimenting!

I totally need to take up yoga again. Life was so much simpler when I was doing it daily. Of course, I was in college...that might have had something to do with it too. Ah ha ha
